this weekend i attended a performance of nick cave's soundsuits and it was amazing. seeing them static in a gallery or a book doesn't quite portray the energy they give off while flailing about.

this weekend i spent about four hours putting studs on an old pair of boots. it can get pretty addicting.

this weekend i went to a scooter rally in atlanta. it was super fun! the vintage ones have such great logos amd i've kind of got the scooter bug.

sunday soul.

this morning i started going through my music, figuring out what to sacrifice to my external drive in the name of more memory...instead i put together this 2 hour mix of all of the best soul songs i've got! it includes floorstompers from the meters, roosevelt jones, the contours, and the velvelettes and 42 others!! i hope that you enjoy it!

weekend listening.

today is my first day 'blogging' from home. it's weird! so far today i slept in, watched the end of todays tour, ate breakfast in a park, pet some horses, and then...took a nap. but now it's time to get down to business and keep on packing up my stuff and crossing things off of my to-do list. thankfully while i'm doing these inane things, i'll be listening to this american life, and that always makes things better. here are four of my favorites. it was hard to pick just four! {click the title for a description of the episode and 'click here' for the sendspace download.}
